  • Our youth spaces program was first developed by Brisbane City Council to provide a response to young people needs. Council understood that there was a need to provide safe, accessible and well-resourced venues for young people to meet and get involved in projects.

    Visible Ink, Brisbane City Council’s own youth space as a part of its ongoing commitment to provide safe spaces and resources to young people. Council also works closely with two partner organisation Mt Gravatt PCYC and Linx Youth Space at Wynnum.

    The spaces are available for young people aged 12-25 years of age and organisations that work with them. Our spaces have been used in the past to host a wide range of activities, such as:

    • Networking functions

    • Arts projects
    • Skills development
    • Projects
    • Film Editing
    • Setting up a business
    • Planning sessions
    • Forums
    • Debates
    • Events and Live Gigs

  • Visible Ink Valley is a free space being offered by Brisbane City Council to young people aged 12-25 and to organisations that support them. The space provides facilities to meet for organised activities, resources to help get your ideas off the ground or staff support to provide you with information and resources. Our aim is to assist young people to get together, get involved, get heard and be a part of Brisbane’s wider community.

    VISINK ENTRY smlWe offer a range of facilities, resources and opportunities for young people emerging in their chosen field:

    • Free space hire
    • Free equipment hire
    • Free printing and internet
    • Free office space for emerging businesses
    • Free workshops

    The Youth Development Team also provides, staff support and information in planning events, businesses, grant writing and any other support young people may need with project ideas, creating connections and accessing resources.

    Visible Ink Valley is a space where young people can use the free space and resources to kick start their ideas in making Brisbane a more vibrant and creative city. The space can be used to organise and run workshops, projects and events, or start a businesses and community groups

    The Visible Ink space is staffed three days a week from Wednesday to Friday, 12pm-5pm. During opening hours young people can come into the office to make bookings, borrow equipment, and use the Computer and Printing Lab, zine making materials and Arts Hub. Bookings can be made for the Rehearsal Space and Meeting Room, seven days a week from 8am-10pm.

    Visible Ink is located on the corner of Green Square Close and Constance Street, diagonally across from Alfred and Constance Café.Close public transport is available at the Fortitude Valley Train Station a 200m walk through the Valley Metro and via buses on Warner, Brunswick, Ann and Wickham Streets (approx. 800m). There is no on-site parking at Visible Ink with limited on-street paid parking available.

    About Us

    The Mt Gravatt PCYC is a safe, creative place for young people to:

    • Chill, relax and hang
    • Grow, develop life skills and learn
    • Get involved in new things and old thing, like music, matial arts finding work, dance and much more
    • If you wanna do some thing, we help you work out how to do it, sk8 comps, galas, slumeber parties, disco and much more
    • Get into training and other employment programs

    The space is also offered to organisations that support young people for activities that enhance and extend their personal development, education and to provide otherwise character building activities.

  • About LinX Youth Space

    LinX Youth Space provides a place for young people of Wynnum/Manly to Chill Out, participate in activities and workshops, get information on other services regarding art, music projects, and competitions, and access resources.

    Youth Voice Team in consultation with young people develops Youth Space programs and we realize that all young people are different and they have varied interests in workshops and activities.

    The activities and workshops delivered through LINX-Wynnum Youth Space are a mixture of arts programs, cultural, recreational, life skills activities and sports.

    LINX Youth Space delivers:

    • Arts and Crafts Projects
    • Skate workshops
    • DVD & Popcorn Days
    • Girls Only day Spa Project
    • BCC Chill Out Program

    Youth Voice Team in consultation with young people develops Youth Space programs and we realize that all young people are different and they have varied interests in workshops and activities.

    Youth Voice aims to keep the issues of local young people, heard and visible Youth Voice Committee Meetings are held by young people for young people 12 – 25 years of age.
